Learn how to start native plants and plants for your vegetable garden through a technique called winter sowing. Get a head start on growing plants without the need for a greenhouse. Learn the skills you need to create your own micro greenhouse with just a milk jug and some soil. All participants will receive one winter sowing kit (milk jug green house, soil, and seeds). There will be a pop-up library with gardening books that are available for checkout (must have a Metro State ID or Metro State community borrower card). This event is a collaboration between Urban Roots, Metro State University Library, and the Dayton’s Bluff branch of Saint Paul Public Library.
