Checkouts and Renewals

To check out books and DVDs from the Metro State collections, bring them to the first-floor Information Commons Desk.

You may also check out materials with your mobile device using the cloudLibrary app. You will need the long barcode number on the back of your Metro ID card to set this up.

To renew books and videos from the Metro State collections, log in to your library account and view your “Loans.” Contact library.circulation@metrostate.edu if you have questions.

To renew books borrowed from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan, log in to your library account and view your “Loans.” Note that due dates and renewals are determined by the lending library, and may vary. Contact interlibrary.loan@metrostate.edu if you have questions.

Special Borrowing Privileges from the U of MN 

Metro State University Students and faculty may check out books on-site and receive other privileges from the University of Minnesota libraries by applying for Special Borrowing Privileges at Wilson Library on the U of MN campus. Before visiting the Wilson Library, review the requirements, complete this form, and then visit the Metro State Library or email library.services@metrostate.edu for a signature.

Reciprocal Borrowing at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities

Metro State University Students can use their Metro ID card to check out books on-site from any of the 37 campus libraries in the Minnesota State (formerly MnSCU) system.
